OUR MANIFESTO

An aware citizen is the smallest unit of a functioning democracy. But today, he's distracted by noise — served as news. His issues are buried under headlines that don’t make sense. He is sidelined by those in power and remembered only during elections, only to be forgotten again. But that's not how democracy is supposed to function.

Swaraj is a platform to return power to its rightful place: the hands of the citizen. A space to report local issues that matter. To use data, not outrage, to demand accountability — not once every five years, but every single day.

This isn’t about left or right. It’s about taking democracy forward. It’s about re-architecting participation itself — and it changes everything.

Introducing Swaraj (3m)

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about us.

What is Swaraj?

Swaraj is a citizen-led civic engagement platform built to reclaim democracy at the grassroots. It’s a space where everyday people raise issues that matter to them—roads, water, corruption, climate, health—and rally support through upvotes, comments, and visibility. Swaraj is not just an app. It is a movement. A decentralized voice for the people.

Is Swaraj a government platform?

No, Swaraj is not a government platform, nor is it affiliated with any government body or agency. It is an independent initiative, created by citizens, for citizens, to empower them to interact with and strengthen the democratic process from the outside.

How does Swaraj work?

Use simple tools to raise issues, share ideas, gain support, and track progress. It amplifies your voice to authorities, making sure concerns don’t get ignored.

How’s Swaraj different from social media?

Swaraj’s all about civic action, not just chatter. It’s designed for constructive dialogue and real impact, not trends or drama.

What issues can I tackle on Swaraj?

Anything civic or social—local infrastructure, public services, environment, policy ideas. If it affects your community, you can bring it up for constructive solutions.

How does Swaraj hold power accountable?

It’s a transparent hub where issues are visible, supported, and tracked. Collective citizen pressure and clear records push authorities to act.
