4 states join Centre bid to quash CJP protest FIRs

Maharashtra, Assam, West Bengal and Bihar asked the Supreme Court to quash cases tied to Cockroach Janta Party protests in July. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told CJI Surya Kant four state applications were filed. The Centre seeks to quash 13 Delhi FIRs from July 20 to 25. It also proposed one fresh FIR against 2,873 persons with serious criminal antecedents.
