BJP candidate withdraws from Bankipur bypoll candidature

BJP candidate Abhishek Kumar alias Bunty withdrew his Bankipur Assembly bypoll nomination on July 10, a day after filing papers, The Hindu reported. He cited family reasons at the party office. The BJP Central Election Committee then named Neeraj Kumar Sinha, a Nalanda resident and former BJYM district vice-president, as the replacement candidate for the Patna seat vacated after Nitin Nabin's Rajya Sabha election.
