Jalgaon banana wholesale prices fall to Rs 5 a kg

Hindustan Times··5d ago

Wholesale banana prices in drought-hit Jalgaon fell to Rs 5 a kg for inferior fruit and Rs 11 for better quality. West Asia export disruption is among the reasons, with Iran a major buyer. Farmer Vishnu Ingle used a rotavator after traders offered Rs 3 a kg. Collector Rohan Ghuge said prices earlier ranged from Rs 12 to Rs 18.
