India's first hydrogen train notified for Jind-Sonipat route

Indian Railways has notified India's first hydrogen-powered train, a 10-coach fuel cell trainset for the Jind-Sonipat section under Northern Railway, Times of India reported on July 10. The train is expected to be flagged off by PM Narendra Modi on July 17. It will run at up to 75 kmph using a 1,200 KW hydrogen fuel cell propulsion system.
