Modi meets Iran President Pezeshkian at SCO summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Kyrgyzstan on August 31, 2026. They met on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit. The Ministry of External Affairs said they reviewed West Asia developments. Modi restated that issues should be resolved through dialogue. It is their first in-person meeting since the February 2026 attacks.
