Delhi August AQI averages 92, highest since 2023

Delhi received 653.9 mm of rainfall at Safdarjung since the monsoon began, 29 percent above the long-period average of 506.7 mm, the IMD said. Despite frequent showers, the average maximum temperature until August 29 was 34.1 degrees Celsius. Delhi's average air quality index for August stood at 92, the highest since 2023, according to an analysis by CREA.
