BJP names poll in-charges for UP, Punjab, Gujarat

BJP president Nitin Nabin on 18 August 2026 named Vinod Tawde poll in-charge for Uttar Pradesh, Satish Poonia for Punjab and Tarun Chugh for Gujarat. National secretary Jagdish Ishwarbhai Patel is co-in-charge for Uttar Pradesh. The party said the appointments take effect at once. Other State in-charges will be named later, with present prabhari arrangements continuing until then.
