India builds 25% of global iPhone output under Cook

India now accounts for 25 percent of global iPhone output, about one in four phones assembled worldwide, an Economic Times report cited by Livemint said. Apple assembled about 55 million iPhones in India in 2025, up from 36 million a year earlier. Tim Cook has called India the world's second-largest smartphone market and a major focus.
