Lebanese army deploys troops in pilot zone after Israeli pullout

Lebanon's army said on July 21 its troops began deploying to a pilot zone in the south following Israeli force withdrawal under a US-brokered agreement reached last month. Units entered Zawtar al-Gharbiyeh village in Nabatieh district on Tuesday morning. The US state department said pilot zone operations began in Zawtar al-Gharbiyeh, Froun and Srifa on July 20.
