Three Afghan-origin men in Jamshedpur, Asil Khan, Mohammad Aslam and Mohammad Ibrahim, were booked during Special Intensive Revision checks, with Ibrahim under arrest. Officials suspected forged papers after passport checks tied to SIR enrolment notices. In East Singhbhum, about 3.98 lakh electors were deleted at the draft stage from a pre-SIR total near 19 lakh.
