A passenger boat carrying some 270 people capsized off northern Cyprus, with search and rescue under way. Kyrenia mayor Murat Senkul told CNN Turk that 159 of those aboard had been reached. Transport minister Erhan Arikli said 100 passengers had been taken to shore. The vessel reportedly began taking on water about four miles offshore.
