Police say 9 minor girls abused by granite baron

Chennai police sources said investigators found evidence that at least 9 minor girls were sexually abused by granite baron R. Veeramani. More survivors have given statements alleging exploitation while they were minors. Veeramani, Gem group chairman, and associates Shanti and Mahendra Simhan were arrested in the POCSO case. A court on Thursday granted three-day police custody of Veeramani.
