IIT Bombay reports third student death in 7 months

IIT Bombay said a second-year student died by suicide Friday evening after being found using a phone in an exam. The institute said he uploaded the paper to ChatGPT and no disciplinary action followed. Faculty counselled him before he returned to his hostel. Powai police registered an accidental death report. This is the third campus death in seven months.
