Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra on July 1 alleged BJP workers hurled eggs and raised chor slogans during a protest outside MLA Alifa Ahmed's residence in Palashi, Kaliganj, Nadia. Moitra had gone to attend a TMC meeting when protesters gathered shouting go back. Police and central security personnel dispersed the crowd after reaching the spot, a district officer said.
