Cochin Port unions seek ICTT extension disclosure

Cochin Port Joint Trade Unions Forum demanded disclosure of the rationale for a reported two-year extension to the Vallarpadam ICTT operator. India Gateway Terminal Pvt Ltd, a DP World company, has run the terminal since February 2011. Unions said it handled 0.77 million TEUs in 2025-26. Phase I capacity is 1.2 million TEUs a year.
