Centre approves Delhi-Rishikesh Namo Bharat corridor extension

The Centre gave in-principle approval to extend the Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat RRTS from Modipuram to Haridwar and Rishikesh. The proposed 150-km corridor would pass through Muzaffarnagar, Roorkee and terminate near Laxman Jhula. About 72 km lies in Uttar Pradesh and 78 km in Uttarakhand. A Detailed Project Report survey is underway before final cost and timeline are announced.
