India clears Rs 52000 crore defence procurement for three services

Defence Acquisition Council on July 3, 2026, gave acceptance of necessity to procurement proposals worth nearly Rs 52,000 crore for the Army, Navy and Air Force. Approvals cover air defence, drone-killing equipment, surveillance and unmanned systems. Army items include Akash Tarang anti-UAV systems, MPATGM and MRSAM. Navy approvals include multi influence ground mines and shipborne unmanned aerial systems.
