Supreme Court tells Karnataka to comply on Cauvery releases

The Supreme Court on 17 August asked Karnataka to ensure compliance with Cauvery Water Management Authority directions on releases to Tamil Nadu. Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta listed the matter for 24 August so an updated status can be filed. The bench told Tamil Nadu it was not the case that Karnataka was giving no water.
