The Keralam government appointed new heads to major cultural institutions after a leadership vacuum of more than four months. Poet Kalpetta Narayanan will chair the Kerala Sahitya Akademi, with writer M.P. Surendran as secretary. Singer G. Venugopal will chair the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi. Actor Prem Kumar will chair the Kerala State Film Development Corporation.
