Underground structure found near Qutb Shahi tombs

On 20 August 2026, an underground structure was reported during digging near the Qutb Shahi tombs at Golconda, in the Athara Seedi area beside a playground. Karwan MLA Kausar Mohiuddin posted about the find and said he had alerted the Archaeological Survey of India and city officers. A police picket was expected. ASI is yet to confirm age or purpose.
