Nalanda students fall ill after mid-day meal mix-up

More than two dozen students at Middle School, Parasi, in Bihar's Nalanda district fell ill on 18 August 2026 after a mid-day meal of soybean rice. They were taken to Biharsharif Sadar Hospital with dizziness and vomiting. Civil Surgeon Dr Jay Prakash Singh said all the children were out of danger. Minister Shravan Kumar visited and ordered an inquiry.
