Social Justice Ministry revised caste census meeting note

The Registrar General accepted a revised note on a June 1 caste census meeting after the Social Justice Ministry pushed back. Ministry officials said they maintain 1,258 Scheduled Caste entries and nearly 2,483 Other Backward Class entries for Census 2027. An initial draft said no caste list was available. The ministry called that wording a trap.
