Naga peace activist Niketu Iralu dies at 91

Naga peace activist Niketu Iralu died on 18 August 2026 at a New Delhi hospital after a cardiac arrest. He was 91. He lived in Sechu Zubza, Kohima, and is survived by his wife Christine. T R Zeliang called him a towering figure in Naga reconciliation. A funeral service was listed at the Nagaland State Guest House in Delhi.
