Chalakudy school building collapses on holiday Friday

Part of Chayipankuzhi Government UP School in Kodassery, Thrissur, collapsed on Friday beside Hill Highway excavation. A wall fell first at the dig site, then a school section and an open stage. The campus was empty for the Sree Krishna Jayanti holiday. A parked school bus was damaged. The building dates to 2002 via MLA Savithri Lakshmanan's local fund.
