Jharkhand students end hunger strike after exam cancellations

Student leaders Devendra Nath Mahto, Umme Habiba and Rahul Kranti ended hunger strikes on 17 August after Chief Minister Hemant Soren cancelled the JSSC-CGL exam and all tests run by TSR Data Processing Private Limited. Mahto broke a 16-day fast at Ranchi's Sadar Hospital with ministers present. The sit-in had lasted 24 days. Students celebrated at Jaipal Singh Stadium.
