Ladakh shifts Central pool MBBS seats to single merit

The Ladakh administration revised Central pool MBBS and BDS admission guidelines after creating seven new districts. With Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena's approval, category and roster lists give way to one merit list. Admissions will follow NEET rank and candidate choices. For 2026-27 the Centre allotted seven MBBS and two BDS seats, with seven days to apply on the NIC portal.
