US judge blocks immigration benefit holds

A US district judge ruled that the Trump administration illegally prevented applicants from 39 travel-ban countries from receiving decisions on citizenship, work permits, green cards and asylum. Chief Judge John McConnell said USCIS procedures targeted people from African, Asian, Latin American and Middle Eastern countries.
