Akriti mother alleges dowry belt beatings before death

Akriti Sutar's mother Anu Say Sutar alleged in a police complaint that her 28-year-old daughter faced continuous dowry harassment during her 72-day marriage before dying on July 5, 2026. Police arrested husband Arastu Sikka and registered a dowry death case. Akriti was found injured at NDMC flats in Palika Kunj, 10 km from her Pushp Vihar home.
