Chandipura virus outbreak kills 22 children in Gujarat

Gujarat has recorded 22 suspected deaths linked to the Chandipura virus this monsoon season, health minister Praful Pansheriya said, with 35 of 184 suspected cases confirmed positive so far and 11 results still pending. Seven children remain under treatment at civil hospitals in Gandhinagar, Rajkot, Patan, Himmatnagar and Bhavnagar, while six patients have recovered and been discharged.
