One dead, three SOG injured in Doda rifle-snatching ambush

On July 16 around 11:30 pm, SOG personnel on the Jaie-Gandoh road near Bhaderwah in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda faced a rifle-snatching attempt. Aarif Hussain, 30, of Cheeka village allegedly grabbed a weapon during a scuffle and SOG troops opened fire. Hussain died and three SOG personnel were injured. A preacher was detained and the Army launched searches in Jaie.
