Diana revenge dress headed to December auction

Sotheby’s will auction Princess Diana’s black silk “revenge dress” on 9 December, estimating up to £220,000. She wore the Christina Stambolian gown to a 1994 Serpentine Gallery party hours after Prince Charles admitted adultery on television. The dress last sold in 1997 when Diana auctioned 79 dresses for charity. Owner Briege Mackenzie is selling after her husband’s death.
