Bihar shifts Siwan SP after July protest rifle firing

The Bihar government on 18 August transferred 17 IPS officers, including Siwan Superintendent of Police Puran Kumar Jha. Jha was in charge on 25 July when constable Abhishek Kumar was filmed firing an AK-47 during a student protest. Jha was placed on the waiting list. Bharat Soni will take over as Siwan SP. Bhojpur's SP was also shifted.
