CVC records 70,584 corruption complaints in 2025

The Central Vigilance Commission said chief vigilance officers received 70,584 corruption complaints against government bodies in 2025. Of those, 64,905 were disposed of by December 31 and 5,679 remained under process, including 2,002 pending over three months. Banks logged the most complaints at 9,933, followed by the Railways at 9,381. Housing and urban affairs drew 6,531 complaints.
