The United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research will launch a new initiative Thursday on military uses of artificial intelligence. Director Robin Geiss said human judgment margins are narrowing, including in nuclear systems. UNIDIR will host the first international forum through its Center of Excellence on AI, Peace and Security. Five nuclear powers funded the center, Geiss said.
