SC asks Centre to rethink CBSE three-language Class IX policy

The Supreme Court on July 16 orally asked the Centre to rethink the CBSE three-language policy for Class IX from this academic year. Justice B V Nagarathna said introducing three languages before board exams would be stressful and suggested Class VI instead. A May 15 circular requires three languages including two Indian ones. Tamil Nadu opposes it as Hindi imposition.
