Supreme Court asks Calcutta HC to hear TMC plea

The Supreme Court on Monday asked the Calcutta High Court to expeditiously hear a Trinamool Congress petition over removal of a party billboard from Abhishek Banerjee's Kolkata office. A Bench led by Chief Justice Surya Kant declined to disturb the High Court's August 28 refusal of interim relief. Kapil Sibal said the civic body removed the board without prior notice.
