Hyderabad woman unpaid for months escapes to embassy

Shabnam Begum, 26, from Hyderabad, reached Muscat on March 26 after being promised 200 Omani riyals, about Rs 50,000 a month. She says she worked 12 to 15 hours daily and went unpaid for three to four months. She escaped to the Indian Embassy, which has taken cognisance. Activist Amjed Ullah Khan raised her case publicly.
