Ladakh to get Hill Councils in all seven districts

ThePrint reported on Monday that the Ladakh UT Administration announced Autonomous Hill Development Councils for all seven districts on July 13, extending elected local governance beyond Leh and Kargil alone. BJP leader Tashi Gyalson called it a historic milestone and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for approving the decision this month.
