Annamalai resigns from BJP after Delhi meetings

Former Tamil Nadu BJP president K. Annamalai submitted his resignation on June 2 after meeting Amit Shah, party chief Nitin Nabin, and B.L. Santhosh, The Hindu reported. He is expected to launch a movement that may become a regional party. Deccan Herald noted many high-profile BJP exits have later seen leaders return to the fold.
