Sena UBT moves SC challenging Speaker merger approval

Shiv Sena UBT on July 21 approached the Supreme Court challenging Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla's July 18 decision approving the merger of six UBT MPs with Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena faction. Senior advocate Devadatt Kamat mentioned the matter before CJI Surya Kant seeking urgent hearing on July 23. The Chief Justice said we will see.
