FIR after 600 trees felled at NSI Kanpur

An FIR has been filed against five people, including National Sugar Institute Director Seema Paroha, after forest officials alleged that 655 full-grown trees and 67 dwarf oleander plants were illegally cut or uprooted on the Kanpur campus. Police said the case followed a complaint by Regional Forest Officer Rakesh Pandey.
