Indian utility vehicle exports hit 203,582 units in April-August

Indian utility vehicle exports rose 23 percent to 203,582 units in April-August 2026, taking 56 percent of car exports, SIAM data showed. Passenger car exports fell 16 percent to 154,190 units for a 43 percent share. Total passenger vehicle exports grew 2 percent to 360,553 units. Maruti Suzuki exported 186,603 units, with utility vehicles at 62 percent of that mix.
