NYPD shoots Times Square attacker after 2 stabbed

A woman stabbed two people in New York's Times Square on Monday before officers shot her dead. Video showed her pulling 2 kitchen knives near West 42nd Street and Seventh Avenue. A 68-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were hospitalised; the woman later died. The man was stable. Commissioner Jessica Tisch said a taser was tried before two officers fired.
