Leaked audio has Goldy Brar claiming Nijjar killing

On 22 August 2026, a leaked audio clip circulated in which Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar is heard saying he and his team killed Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The purported talk is with Paramjit Singh Pamma. Brar is heard linking the 2023 Surrey shooting to people who, he said, used teenagers in the drug trade. The clip has not been independently verified.

- Nijjar was killed outside a gurdwara in Surrey. India and Canada then spent three years in a consular and intelligence dispute over who ordered it.
- Paramjit Singh Pamma is named in the reports as the other voice on the tape and is described there as a Khalistani militant, which is an allegation in those reports, not a verdict on the audio.
