Nepal flash flood death toll rises to 1,127

Nepal Police said the flash flood death toll rose to 1,127 on September 2, a week after the August 26 disaster. Security forces have rescued 6,541 people while searching for 4,858 missing. Postmortem work covered 1,113 bodies, and 95 were handed to relatives. Authorities deployed 7,912 police personnel for rescue, relief and body management in flood zones.
