West Bengal launches 125-day RAM-G rural employment scheme

West Bengal launched the VB-G RAM G 125-day rural employment scheme on July 1 across the state for 2.56 crore job card holders. Centre allocated Rs 8,508 crore and the state Rs 5,672 crore on a 60:40 cost-sharing basis. MGNREGA funds to Bengal were halted from March 2022 over alleged financial irregularities.
