Bhogapuram airport handles 52 flights on opening day

Bhogapuram's Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport began commercial operations on 17 August with 52 planned movements. IndiGo flight 6E 6408 from Hyderabad arrived at 6.45 a.m. Air India, Air India Express, Scoot and IndiaOne also flew. Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu handed boarding passes. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the airport on 1 August.

- If you fly to Visakhapatnam, scheduled commercial flights now use Bhogapuram, about 45 to 50 km from the city, not INS Dega.
