Kerala presses 2025 terms for Mullaperiyar safety review

Kerala urged a Supreme Court-appointed Mullaperiyar dam safety panel to follow August 2025 terms of reference, adviser James Wilson said. The panel inspected the main, baby and earthen dams and spillway and heard both states. Wilson listed hydrological, structural, seismic and seepage concerns. Balraj Joshi said a National Dam Safety Authority report is due in 10 to 15 days.
