Nepal Army rescues 2 men from flood tunnel

Two men were rescued alive from a tunnel at the Trishuli 3A hydropower project 9 days after Nepal's Bhotekohi flash floods. The Nepal Army identified them as Kabir Maharjan, 45, and Sanjay Sah, 30. Rescuers had earlier heard voices inside and established communication. Nepal's flash flood death toll rose to 1,282 on Friday, September 4, 2026.
